You know what I miss?
I kinda miss the days of being a renter. Used to be when something went wrong all I had to do was make a phone call and have the landlord fix it. You learn real quick how to fix things as a homeowner. I have become quite the handyman around the house. There is one thing however that came up last week that I can’t fix by myself. Our home needs new windows. I am fairly sure that the people behind the definitions in Webster’s could come to our house and get an accurate definition for ‘drafty’. Our furnace has been doing the work of two furnaces this winter and our heating bill is indicative of that. I called a friend over that has a better grasp of these things and he immediately recommended I get windows with double glazing. He said they provide superior insulation and has them in his own home. I’ve never been there so I wouldn’t know myself. He even gave me the name of a contractor he knows and said to drop his name and I’ll get the friendly price not the average customer price. He’s coming over tomorrow to give us an estimate.
